Pink Pink and more Pink!

Who knew decorating and shopping for a little girl could be so much fun? In my defense, I have been waiting a very long time for a little girl so you can hardly blame me for going a bit overboard on the pink! The hardest part was making a decision on how to decorate the nursery. I had about a million different visions in mind! I always wanted to do an English garden themed nursery but decided to go more traditional once I found these cute birds and butterflies online. If I must say so myself, I have actually used quite a bit of self restraint as far as shopping goes. I've only bought a handful of clothes, which is not as easy as it sounds since I've been wanting to buy little girl things forever! Every time I go shopping for the boys I have to all but tear myself away from the girl section. There just isn't much you can do with boy clothes, you have trucks and sports and that's about it! Also, I didn't buy one single piece of furniture! I refinished an old dresser and am using it as a diaper changing station. I've had an antique armoire sitting in my garage that's been in our family for generations that I finally get to use. Thank heaven for sisters and sister-in-law's and wonderful hand-me-downs, I've gotten a crib and tons of clothes that way.

The next challenge was picking out a name!!! I've always liked Mona but really liked a few others too such as; Amelia, Natalie, Mina and Maryne. I was surprised that Jim liked Mona the best too so we are going with that. Also, Ramona is my grandma Lloyd's name and she is the sweetest, wittiest person in the world and I just love her to bits so Mona it is!

Mona Claire Wilson. Yes, thank you very much, I painted these letters all by myself. ;-)

That's about the extent of my artistic abilities.
